As the year draws to a close…..

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for supporting prettyskittycreates, whether you’ve shared a post, bought an item or helped promote my business in any little way…..THANK YOU!!!

My first year has been so busy, ive created close to 25 mini versions of peoples beloved pets, some were memorials which honestly, hand on heart were an honour to make.

Thank you for trusting me to experiment with different techniques that ive learnt along the way and thank you for your patience!

2021 has been a difficult year in many ways but im grateful that I started prettyskittycreates and im really excited to see what the next year holds!

Pet Memorials:

I feel so honoured when I’m asked to make a beloved pet that is sadly no longer with us, when I hear how their mini version has brought the owner new happiness, well thats just the best feeling in the world.

Hugo the Labradoodle is my latest commission and was a joy to make, his beautiful curly coat was a new challenge and in all honesty, I’m really please with the result.

It’s all about Jack…..

This year has gone in the blink of an eye and I can’t believe we’re approaching Christmas!! Ive been busy recreating loving owners’ pooches and Jack Russells are still one of my best sellers. I love making them, they’re so full of character just like they are in real life. Take a look at some of my recents makes below…..

Felted Pet Portraits-made to order

These are really popular and I love making them because every one is different! To see the full range so far you can click on the link below https://www.numonday.com/shop/prettyskittycreates/

My latest pooch commission was a Border Terrier/chihuahua cross, not the easiest little fella I can tell you! But the customer was over the moon with him which is absolutely what its about for me, I love getting their responses. 😊 I was also asked to create his best friend, a tiny rubber crocodile- I mean, how could I resist, just look at him! 😍🐊

Afternoon tea and Mandrakes …….

Just because you have a birthday in lockdown shouldn’t mean you can’t celebrate in style. My friend turned 40 last week and was quite frankly, feeling pretty fed up about it all. So what better way to show her some love that to surprise her with an el fresco Afternoon Tea and Prosecco! As she helped me carry all the bags into the local ‘wilderness’ (the grounds of the fabulous Adlington Hall in Cheshire) she had no idea that there were sandwiches, cakes, a cake stand and bottles of bubbly to make her feel better about a big birthday in lockdown.

Vintage champagne glasses and vintage teacups nestled amongst the Cheshire countryside. I even saw a deer!!

We enjoyed Earl Grey and filtered coffee before cracking open the bubbles and then it was onto her gift! I had a vision early one morning that I needed to make a Mandrake, I have absolutely no idea why but I felt compelled to do so, luckily my beautiful friend is as nuts as me an she loved him! He’s called Frugal……..

She kept him safe and warm in her coat the whole time! We spent hours and hours chatting and laughing, socially distanced of course. How lovely it was to reconnect with friends 💗

What a busy few weeks!

Wow things have really started to take off here at prettyskittycreates and to say I’m thrilled is an understatement. I feel blessed to be able to be doing two things that I love, crafting and running my community centre, the latter is soon to reopen after what seems like the longest time due to Covid.

Ive been working on several commissions and I must say I’m a little bit in love with my recent pooches! They were greatly received by their new owners, big shout it to @slatehousedesigns (go check them out on Instagram, they do some awesome handmade desks and home furniture) so thats a relief……its nerve wracking waiting to hear if a customer likes their order!

Their curly coats were tricky but never one to shy away from a challenge!

Then there were the gaggle of gnomes created for a quirky Mother’s Day gift, proving that a gnome is for life and not just for Christmas! I’m thinking thats a T-shirt slogan right there!
